My name is Jen Black and I'm a yoga teacher (and graphic designer) in Petaluma, California. I took my first yoga class 20 years ago and spent the next 8 years practicing on and off (more off than on if I'm being honest). I started developing a true passion for yoga and over time it became a regular part of my life. I realized it wasn't just something to do sporadically but something I truly needed in my daily life. This year I decided to become an instructor and am currently registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200 RYT (registered yoga teacher), specializing in Power Yoga.
For the past 15 years I've been working as a graphic designer, spending my days sitting at a desk. Practicing yoga regularly has been instrumental in alleviating pain and stiffness in my body caused bad posture, work related stress and past injuries. Yoga helps ease pain, but more importantly it brings balance to my life. I have trouble turning off my thoughts and seem to have a continuous inner dialogue. The time spent practicing yoga provides a small space in the day where I can turn off the inner babble and focus just on the breath and movement. I can't wait to share the amazing benefits of a yoga practice with you!

what is Power Yoga?
Power Yoga is a style of Vinyasa Yoga: A heat building practice that links breath and movement. This flow-based style helps to build strength, flexibility, balance and a deeper connection to self while still embracing relaxation and breath work. All levels welcome!
Private Classes - Perfect for all levels! Class intensity and pace are 100% customized for YOU! Great for beginners who want to learn the poses but don't feel comfortable attending a group class. If you're recovering from an injury this is a great way to explore modifications so you're prepared when you start back to group classes. Experienced yogis can deepen their practice with advanced poses and one-on-one instruction.
Semi-Private / Small Group Instruction - Great for groups of friends/family that wants to practice together.
Special Events - Bachelorette parties, birthday parties, girls/guys night, family reunions, team building events...the options are endless! Option to add snacks and wine at the end of yoga for additional charge.
Bachelorette party: the drunken nights out have been replaced with spa days and wine tastings. What better to compliment that than a private yoga session for the bride and her closest friends?
Corporate Yoga - Help your employees unwind and de-stress by offering yoga. Classes can take place in your office conference room, courtyard, or any open space where employees have room to set down yoga mats and focus on their well-being.
I completed my 200 hour teacher training through ZFlow Power Yoga.
